Description

Enjoy a proper, full day out. Rain or shine, you won’t run out of things to see when exploring our 26 acres. Whatever your age or those that you’ll be bringing along, nothing is out of bounds. Unbelievable as it seems, an entire Black Country village has been created; brick-by-original-brick. Black Country Living Museum is a remarkable place to explore, enjoy and spend time. Set in a landscape of 26 acres, it is one of the most extraordinary open-air museums in the UK; offering a glimpse into 300 years of history like no other. Enjoy the delights of traditional family fun and playtime in the last century, banish boredom with traditional street games including hopscotch and skipping. Take up the challenge to see how long you can keep the hoop rolling in the hoop and stick game and test your skill with a cup and ball and the whip and top. Not forgetting our usuals – you can also enjoy a trip ‘Into the Thick’, experiencing life in a 1850s coal mine, attend a Victorian school lesson and try our famous traditionally cooked fish and chips.
