Right on the Leicestershire / Warwickshire border, Twycross Zoo is an award-winning conservation charity, with an award-winning schools programme, and fun for all the family. Immerse yourself and explore the animal world any time of the year, with indoor and outdoor habitats, interactive experiences and fun, exciting encounters with over 500 animals, from 125 different species.
Animals come in all shapes and sizes, from leopards to lemurs, parrots to prairie dogs and tortoises to tarantulas. Twycross Zoo cares for around 500 animals of 125 species of bigger animals, including many endangered species, plus hundreds of creepy crawlies too. Renowned as a specialist primate zoo, they care for a wide variety of monkeys and apes, and are the only zoo in the UK where you can see all types of great ape – gorilla, orang utan, chimpanzee and bonobo. There’s plenty to see, from favourites including meerkats and penguins, to the Amur leopard, the world’s rarest big cat.

The majority of trips return from destination between 16:30 and 17:30. The driver will inform you of the exact time on the day, dependant on outward travel times. Whilst we do not guarantee a W/C on board most of our excursion fleet do have toilet facilities. For your comfort we allocate seating at time of booking, however reserve the right to alter or amend your seat allocation for utilisation purposes.
